I can be Mom again
At age 17 I was stepped on by a horse which cause a fracture in my lower back. At age 26 I gave birth with complications to my daughter. She now has cerebral palsy and is a quadriplegic. She’s 17 now and I must throw her over my shoulder to move her from one place to another. Doctors said I would get arthritis from my injuries and constant labor with my daughter. All they could do is give me medication for the pain. Medication masked my pain but it also impaired my decision-making and I was not always alert. This made my job very hard. Since coming to see Dr. Prather I take no medication except an occasional Motrin. I’m more patient and feel happier where before I was very grouchy and irritable. I know as I age I will be able to continue lifting my daughter for years to come with Dr. Prather!
